ME[ME]:Online Group Identity & Offline Collective Action
How might we utilize memes to effectively transition online group identity into offline collective action resulting in sustained change? Exploring how memes contribute to the formulation of identity and political ideology online, and why and how they have been able to contribute to offline political action for better or worse.

Research methods included secondary source analysis, online ethnography, observation, interviewing key stakeholders, an online survey with 140 responses, and data sorting & insight generation for potential design opportunities.

Based on my research, I designed an online database (app & site)  to expand on memes and the messages they contain called Meme Base. Design process included a one-page concept overview, concept testing, multiple prototype iterations, prototype testing, and  pitch deck.

A compendium was also designed to give an extensive overview of my research and design process with a cohesive visual language.
